About
Prior to becoming a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and receiving a Master's of Science in Counseling along with a Pupil Personnel Services Credential (which allows me to work in public schools as a school counselor), I attended the University of California at Santa Barbara for a Master's Degree in Education and teaching credential. As I worked in public schools as an elementary school teacher, I often found myself wanting to spend more time with students on their social and emotional growth than a traditional teaching role would allow.
Working as a School Counselor in an elementary setting has provided me the opportunity to connect with students and their families on a deeper level, and has allowed me to help many more people achieve their own goals and personal happiness.
